Series of works created since 2022, marking a gradual shift in the conception of temporality in painting: from centrally composed, vertically layered spaces of kairotic experience—where wholeness is encountered in an instantaneous present—to compositions in which pictorial space unfolds sequentially within the experience of linear time. 

 

The geometrical rhythmic compositions metaphorically capture events, itineraries, emotions, thoughts, climatic conditions and natural phenomena through a symbolically imagined spectrum of light. They function as an opaque and indirect archive of interwoven experiences of the outer landscape and the innerscape, continuing to resonate over time. 

 

  

 

 

 

 

The opacity of the experience concealed beneath the visual surface serves to open the artist's visual language to the viewer while preserving a discreet and quiet space that the viewer may inhabit according to their own capacity and willingness. The paintings assume the role of cosmopoetic spaces: the luminosity of their material presence, coupled with the absence of a prescriptive narrative, makes it possible to recover a sense of harmony between the viewer's embodied existence and surrounding environment.

 

 

There is a musical dimension to these works. They draw loose inspiration from the theories and traditions of Indian classical music, in which certain compositions are associated with particular times of day. Each work is thus situated within its own fitting moment, creating a sense of harmony between the artwork, time and the viewer.
